Despite being a fairly nascent technology, CXL has the potential to severely disrupt the computer industry as it will allow to break down some of the traditional paradigm in compute, in particular the tight coupling between processor and memory. In this video, I met with Amnon Izhar, the lead strategist for CXL at Dell Technologies, to discuss CXL, where it came from, what it is and how the technology is going to evolve so that it becomes the foundation of disaggregated compute.
